Mistakes Were Made

It appears that 90% of trying to revive a farm is about making mistakes and loss. Both of these I reluctantly accepted. I am hoping that anyone trying or thinking about trying the same type of endeavor reads this before making the same mistakes I made.

Farming/homesteading is not for everyone and you must be ready for loss whether its plants, animals or things, it will inevitably happen. You are attached to your farm both literally and emotionally. Livestock depends on you everyday and there are no off days. You have to be ready for whatever might happen. That could include drought, insect infestations, fox, skunks, trash pandas, disease and whatever else might come up. You must be ready to do what is best for the farm and that might involve euthanizing an animal to protect the farm animals.

I am in it for the long haul so I really dont have a choice but to be successful at this venture because I bet everything on it on working. Complete failure is not an option, so to that point you do whatever it is you have to do to make it work.
